There are two primary types of roofs:

Sloped: A sloped roof, also known as an angled roof, is a roof surface that is tilted at an angle to the horizontal. The angle or pitch of the roof is what defines its slope.

Flat :A flat roof is a roof with a pitch of less than 10 degrees, making it almost level. 

There are two types of roof construction:

  1. Engineered truss system. 
  2. Stick-built framed construction. 

These two types of roof construction are utlized with all framing types.
