You are on a fact-finding mission. Make sure to ask open ended questions like:

  • “ How old is your roof?” 


  • “What are your concerns with the roof?” 


  • “When was the last time you had it inspected or performed general maintenance on it?” 


  • “Have you noticed these issues on your roof?” (If you can get them out, point out what you are seeing) 


  • “ Have you noticed it leaking in the house YET?”

 

  • “How long have you owned the home?” 

 

The last question is a highly important one as you want to make sure you are speaking to the homeowner or the main decision maker. The more information you can get about the product you are inquiring about the better chance you have of finding a hot button issue that will assist you in setting the appointment.
