“S” Saying Hi/Hello
Your goal is to grab their attention and make a connection anyway that you can.
“Good afternoon, how is your day going?”
Having a positive conversion with the homeowners will give you better odds that they will set an appointment and not cancel then if you just say hi and keep it going. Talk to the homeowners about what they are cooking, what’s their favorite sports and teams, if they have plans for the weekend, anything in their yard like flowers or yard gnomes and etc. This will get them to open up and talk to you more which is key to setting those appointments.
(Comment on anything you might see around their house of interest and show you are interested in their home if you have the opportunity).
Your energy and positivity will be imperative when you are engaging a homeowner. Always smile and bring as much energy as possible. People will have a hard time turning down anyone that they enjoy speaking with.
