Vinyl Siding: What is vinyl siding?
About Lesson
Vinyl siding is a plastic exterior cladding for houses and small apartment buildings that is used for weatherproofing and decoration. It’s made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin and other ingredients that give it color, durability, and flexibility.

Here are some benefits of vinyl siding:
    • Low maintenance: Vinyl siding doesn’t need to be painted or refinished, unlike wood siding that needs to be repainted every five years.

    • Weather resistant: Vinyl siding can withstand rain, hail, wind, and sun without fading. It’s also moisture resistant, which prevents mold and mildew growth.
    • Affordable: Vinyl siding is often cheaper than cedar and redwood, and it’s installed faster.
    • Energy efficient: Vinyl siding is usually installed over rigid insulation to improve energy efficiency.
    • Durable: Vinyl siding can last for over 40 years with only basic maintenance.
    • Variety of options: Vinyl siding comes in a wide range of colors, textures, and styles
