What is the envelope of a building?
The building envelope includes all the building components that separate the indoors from the outdoors. Building envelopes include the exterior walls, foundations, roof, windows and doors.
The purpose of the building envelope is divided into three categories. Building envelope provides three main purposes: supporting the structure, providing climate control, and offering an aesthetic view of the building exterior.
