1. Leak Barrier
- A self-sticking membrane that helps protect against leaks caused by wind-driven rain and damaging ice dams.
- Typically applied to eaves and rakes, in valleys, and around chimneys and skylights.

3. Starter Strips
- Starter strips shingles have specially positioned sealant applied at the factory

4. Shingles

THE COMPONENT REQUIRMENTS OF A GAF GOLDEN PLEDGE:
- Shingles: Must be a GAF Lifetime shingle.
- Accessories: Need at least five qualifying GAF accessories, including leak barrier, roof deck protection, starter strip, ridge cap, and ventilation.
- Installation: Installation must be performed by a GAF Master Elite Contractor.
- Shingles: GAF Lifetime Shingles or LayerLock-labeled shingles
- Accessories: At least four qualifying GAF accessories, such as a roof deck protection product, leak barrier product, or attic ventilation product
- Installation: By a GAF Master Elite Contractor
