Profile: The term “profile” is commonly used to describe the siding’s aesthetic look and shape. It refers to the specific design features, contours, and dimensions that give the siding its distinctive appearance.
Thickness:
Vinyl siding can vary in thickness from 0.035 in to 0.052 in, depending on the grade and manufacturer. The most common thickness for vinyl siding is 0.040 in, which is known as “builder’s grade”. Thicker vinyl siding is more rigid, durable, and aesthetically appealing. However, some say that thinner vinyl siding may be more flexible before cracking.
Texture:
Vinyl siding has different textures that create different visual patterns and shadow lines. The right texture can complement your home’s architecture and add visual appeal
Panel Projections:
Panel projection is how far the vinyl siding protrudes from the building.
